is a list of recommended pistols for Olympic-style shooting exercises:

 All
Olympic pistol events are performed in a standing position,
holding the pistol with only one hand.
 Men's
Free Pistol is a 50 meter event. Competitiors
must perform 60 shots within 120 minutes. Single-loading
.22 long-rifle pistol is permitted for this event.
In the finals of this event, competitors must perform
10 shots, each within 75 seconds. The target center
is 5 cm in diameter.
 Women's
Sport Pistol is a 25 meter event.
There is a round of 30 precision shots and a
round of 30 rapid shots. For the precision shots,
six series of five shots are performed in five
minute intervals. For the rapid fire round, six
series of five shots are performed within 3 seconds
each. There is a 7 second break between series.
A weight limit applies, and a .22 long-rifle
pistol must be used.
 Men's
Rapid Fire Pistol is a 25 meter event. Shooters
compete in two rounds of 30 shots each. Another round is two
series of five shots fired in different time intervals. Small
bore .22 long or short rifle pistol is permitted for this exercise.
A weight limit applies.
 Men's
/ Women's 10 meter Air Pistol A .177 caliber
compressed air and CO2 pistols are used for this exercise.
There are length, height, weight, and height requirements
that apply. Center of target is 1.15 cm in diameter.
Men must complete 60 competitions (any number of sighting
shots) within 105 minutes. Women must complete 40 competitions
shots within 75 minutes. Best eight people compete in
the final round when 10 shots must be fired in 75 seconds
each.
