Junior Program/Intercollegiate NRA Shooting Introduction

There are currently 45 different US universities that have handgun target shooting teams. They include Texas University A&M, Massachussetts Institute of Technology, Yale University, ...etc.

We cannot guarantee that our Junior Program will make its students Olympic Gold Medalists or that it will dramatically change their lives. We do expect, however, that the practical skills taught by this Program will reenforce and increase their ability to achieve their goals in shooting, as well as the goals they set for themselves outside of this sport by applying extensive psychological knowledge learned during this course. These include an increased ability to concentrate and other forms mental control.

Goals:
1) To instruct on proper use of firearms
2) To learn about and prepare for the NRA Intercollegiate Tournaments and ISSF-UIT/International Target Shooting (Olympic Program)
3) Practice International Level of Pistol Target Shooting
4) Learn about benefits of International Level Target Shooting
- College Scholarships
- Army Marksmanship Unit

4) ROTC
5) NRA Intercollegiate Championship
